Agar Agar is a gelling agent in powder or strip form of a white to yellowish-greyish colour. Origin: Agar Agar is mainly produced in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Japan, Chile and China out of the red algae Gelidium and Gracellaria. Components: Agar Agar is a dried hydrophilic (water absorbent) colloid substance of macro-molecules which have a linear construction and mainly consist of galactose. Packaging: Drums of 25 - 50 kgs net and cartons of 25 kgs net. Application: As gelling agent in the confectionery and food industry, in the pharmaceutical industry, microbiology, cosmetics industry, in the dental industry for moulding plates and cushioning, in the tinned meat industry.
