Legislation relating to materials in contact with food, and related materials such as packaging adhesives, is regularly evolving, notes Campden BRI, who point out that, in addition, new materials are continually being developed. Meeting and understanding the requirements of food contact materials legislation can sometimes be challenging, the company says.

In response, a Campden BRI Seminar, to be held on 11 October, will focus on the challenges associated with the current legislation and future changes and how these will affect industry, including:

+ An update on food contact materials legislation

+ Potential new harmonised measure for printed food contact materials

+ Understanding MOSH, MOAH and NIAS

+ Migration and board

+ Challenges with bisphenol A

This seminar will, says Campden BRI, be of interest to packaging manufacturers, converters, suppliers, food and beverage manufacturers, regulatory, technical, packaging technologists and retailers.
