Maple Leaf agrees £3m advertising deal

06 July 2012

Maple Leaf has paid creative agency Now £3 million to deliver advertising and promotional activity for the Canadian firm’s New York Bakery Co brand, according to campaign magazine.

The deal follows Maple Leaf’s announcement that it will invest £11.5 million in New York Bakery Co after identifying high growth potential in the business.

New York Bakery Co has been on the publicity trail after previous account holder JWT London organised a PR stunt involving a semi-naked performer at London’s St Pancras international station last year.

JWT was forced to resign the New York Bakery Co account after agreeing to deliver part of rival Premier Foods’ new £80 million advertising campaign.

"We're delighted to appoint Now as our strategic and creative partners and I'm very confident they will help us build on our strong performance by driving even greater growth and brand/consumer engagement
