Salmonella fears spark supplement recall

12 July 2012

Sedona Labs, a division of Canadian firm Atrium Innovations, has recalled two children's dietary supplements in North America after concerns that they may have become contaminated with salmonella.

The firm told the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that it had withdrawn some batches of iFlora Kids Multi-Probiotic and iFlora 4-Kids Powder after learning that it's supplier of galactooligosaccharide had recalled the ingredient over potential salmonella contamination.

No illnesses have been reported by users of the supplements.

The supplements were distributed between 16 March and 3 May this year.
