Roquette is to highlight what it says is the versatility of its plant-based solutions by showcasing a selection of new food concepts at Health ingredients Europe (Frankfurt, 29 November – 1 December).

Visitors to the forthcoming expo will be invited to the company’s new “Creatilicious Bar”. There they will taste a menu of new food concepts specially created by the company’s food application experts and see first-hand how Roquette believes they address the need for healthier lifestyles.

The ideas on show will include:

+ A protein pancake: Easy to prepare, this concept combines multiple sources of protein – especially NUTRALYS pea protein – that contributes to muscle mass maintenance.

+ A healthier virgin mojito: Thanks to NUTRIOSE soluble fibre, this sugar-free cocktail is said to be an easy and fun way to boost daily fibre intake.

+ Gluten-free crunchy bites These high-protein snacks offer visitors a multi-texture experience thanks to NUTRALYS pea protein and PREGEFLO® starch.

+ High-protein vegan bars: These gluten-free, soft-texture bars are made with NUTRALYS pea protein – that helps support muscle gain and promote satiety.

Visitors will also discover XTAB polyols, Roquette’s range of directly-compressible polyols that it claims offer multiple technological benefits as well as texture possibilities for sugar-free confectionery tablets. The company’s other functional plant-based solutions on show will include NEOSORB sorbitol; SweetPearl maltitol; and XYLISORB xylitol – which offer sweetening power in tooth-friendly confectionery applications.
