Coca Cola launches new product in IndiaBeverage firm Coca Cola has announced the launch of a new product into the lucrative Indian market. Minute Maid Nimbu Fresh is a still lemon-flavoured drink which is based on the traditional Indian beverage nimbu pani. Plans are to phase its release, with larger stores in the Tamil Nadu being the first to stock it, followed by a national release later in the year. The product is in direct competition with PepsiCo's Nimbooz and Parle Agro's LMN, both of which are based on nimbu pani, which are already available in the country. T. Krishnakumar, chief executive officer of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages, said that the product marks the company's strategy of innovation within the Indian market. Minute Maid Nimbu Fresh has been designed specifically for Indian consumers. Coca Cola already enjoys market leadership in the juice brands category. The company's Maaza, a mango based drink, and Minute Maid Pulpy Orange are both number one in their categories. Posted by Jason Webster. ![]() | | ||||||||||||||||||||
