Food ingredients specialist Givaudan Nederland BV awards contract to TDGThe food ingredients specialist Givaudan Nederland BV has awarded a long-term business contract to the logistics provider TDG. Givaudan, one of the leading manufacturers in the flavour and fragrance industry, has outsourced its warehouse activities to TDG in Hilversum, the Netherlands, for the last three years. Now the contract - which involves end-to-end supply chain management and chemical storage and distribution - has been extended. Leon Eijkenboom of Givaudan said that a major factor in the decision to extend the contract was TDG's knowledge of specialist IT systems such as voice picking. He added: "The team at TDG understand and adhere to the strict quality regulations needed with logistics activity in the food ingredients sector." Givaudan, which is headquartered in Vernier, Switzerland, recently announced sales of CHF3,959 million (£2,445) in 2009 - a 1.6 per cent increase on the previous year.
