Nestle to launch NESTEA in KenyaNestle has announced the launch of a newly-positioned powdered, ready-to-drink ice tea in Kenya. The NESTEA product is a sweetened tea with lemon and tropical flavourings and will be sold in 45g sachets, reports All About Tea. Commenting on the move, head of NestleEquatorial Africa, Pierre Trouilhat said Nestle is "excited" to introduce the product in Kenya, where the firm thinks it will prove popular with mums looking for healthy drink options. "The health benefits of NESTEA Iced Tea are significant. Our new NESTEA Iced Tea brand is rich in Vitamin C which boosts immunity systems in children, reduces risk of cancer, and helps to address the problem of malnutrition, which is a common risk factor for disease, especially among the lower income groups," he told the news provider. NESTEA is currently sold across the globe in bottles, cartons and cans or as a powdered tea mix. Its biggest markets include the US, Canada, Italy and Spain.
