The use of BuckNat(R) (buckwheat) as functional carrier and matrix to support extracts is a new and valid alternative to the conventional maltodextrin. the aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of BuckNat(R) on glucose metabolism and glycemic index. BuckNat(R) can be used as single ingredient in different formulation or as functional carrier in our botanical extracts. Bucknat(R) it's from our own fields. BuckNat(R) results: - it's totally allergen free - it has a lower glycemic index compared to maltodextrin (GI 40 instead of 95) - BuckNat(R) after gastro-duodenal digestion simulated in-vitro, caused the release of 18% less glucose than maltodextrin - botanical extracts based on BuckNat(R) are 100% soluble -BuckNat(R) extracts are produced using our DEFS(R) technology system
