Canihua (Conventional/Organic)

Canihua which is grown in Peru is related to Quinoa and is in fact also known as “Baby Quinoa” due to its smaller size. Canihua is also similar to its more famous cousin in the fact that it is a gluten-free pseudo-grain high in protein, fiber, iron and calcium. A key difference from Quinoa is that Canihua contains none of the bitter saponins. Canihua has a nutty, slightly sweet flavor and is commonly ground into flour and added to soups, baked goods and drinks.
