Coronavirus information: Food transmission unlikely – Comprehensive safety precautions at Kräuter Mix9 Jul 2020
Since the first reports of the outbreak of a respiratory disease caused by an infection with a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) in Wuhan City in China’s Hubei province, Kräuter Mix has been following the assessments and recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment. Furthermore, Kräuter Mix is closely monitoring any current information about the Covid-19 situation.
According to the public statements made by the Robert Koch Institute and the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, it is unlikely that imported goods such as foods or consumer goods can be sources of a coronavirus infection. According to the current state of knowledge, this is due to the known transmission paths and the relatively low environmental stability of the virus. This holds true also after the latest findings concerning the resilience of Covid-19.
Kräuter Mix has taken extensive
measures to slow the spread of the virus and protect the health of its
employees while maintaining business operations to the maximum extent possible.
We have, among other things, implemented rules for business trips and dealing
with visitors, and we are encouraging employees to practice good hygiene. On
top of this, we have expanded opportunities to work from home and have
introduced an adapted shift model with coordinated work and break time rules.
Furthermore, Kräuter Mix is continuing to monitor current developments and will take into account any recommendations published by institutions such as the Robert Koch Institute, the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment.
