Williamson (DDW) has announced further expansion of the company with the opening of its newest production site. The production site will be located in Cork, Ireland and will be dedicated to the manufacturing of water- and oil soluble natural colours. It will open next month, and will bring with it an integrated team, including R&D and Regulatory, Procurement, Sales, Marketing and an operations team.

DDW says it has received positive feedback from the industry for a new supplier to provide customised solutions using natural colours. With its new applications lab and in-house expertise, the company says it lends the perfect opportunity for bespoke customer applications and is looking forward to building and developing on EU sales with global customers.

“In order to continue our expansion into natural colours it is vital to have a production site in Europe,” said  Graham Merryweather, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We are delighted that our new operation will be close to our caramel plant that has been selling caramel colour throughout Europe for almost 40 years. We will utilise an experienced technical and commercial team to support our customers’ new initiatives with a focus on minimally processed natural colours”

The production site will go through a BRC audit, along with being Kosher and Halal certified.
