Maintaining healthy circulation is critical, and supplementation with vasoactive ingredients like resveratrol is a key strategy for healthy living. Evolva, a health ingredients innovator, will present new results from two clinical trials: CERBLOODFLOW and RESHAW.

CERBLOODFLOW, is led by Dr. Emma Wightman at Northumbria University, UK and was designed to investigate interrelationships between Veri-te resveratrol and diet, gastrointestinal microbiota, systemic inflammation, and brain function in 100 overweight adults over a 6 month period.

The second clinical trial, RESHAW (Resveratrol Supporting Healthy Aging in Women) is led by Prof. P. Howe and Dr. R. Wong at the University of Newcastle, Australia and is a two-year clinical trial of resveratrol in 125 post-menopausal women. RESHAW is the largest and longest running study of its kind and was designed to investigate the impact of Veri-te resveratrol supplementation on cognitive performance, along with a wide range of secondary outcomes including body composition and perception of wellbeing, physical function and pain.

“I am excited to present the first details coming from the two studies that indicate Veri-te resveratrol supplementation beneficially affects mood and cognitive performance, as well as reduced perception of pain and risk of bone fracture,” commented Johannes Haerle, PhD, Senior Technical Manager. “The new findings also shed light on the potential role of resveratrol on gut bacteria and metabolites which seem to trigger a response at the gut/brain axis,” said Dr. Haerle.

“Dr. Haerle’s upcoming presentation at SupplySide West will provide a look at the evidence that supplementation with Veri-te resveratrol can be a key strategy for the design and delivery of effective supplements that support healthy aging,” said Clare Panchoo, Vice President Health Ingredients at Evolva.
