Evolva’s Reserol and Veri-te™ Resveratrol proven to be a winning combination
16 Nov 2018Evolva is proud to announce that Veri-te™ resveratrol customer, Nutrinovate, is the winner of two prestigious awards this year for its innovative Reserol healthy aging skin care supplement range.
At the recent NutraIngredients Asia Awards 2018 in Singapore, Reserol was announced as the winner of the special ‘Editor’s Award for Functional Food Innovation’. This success follows from a win earlier this year at the NutraIngredients Awards 2018 in Geneva, in the ‘Editor’s Award for Innovation’ category.
“For us, winning these awards is a great opportunity to reach international recognition. It is a dream come true for the team at Nutrinovate and it is truly remarkable for us to stand on the same stage as large, well-established players in the industry.”, said Magnus Nilsson-Val, CEO of Nutrinovate, “It also shows that it is possible to create truly innovative products with few resources if you have the right partners, high-purity ingredients and an agile approach.”
The Reserol product range combines Veri-te™ resveratrol and a novel oral film strip technology that boosts resveratrol delivery to the body through the inside of the cheek. This technology is proven to increase the plasma exposure of resveratrol, thereby increasing bioavailability. The uptake of resveratrol via the oral mucosa is radically different from the absorption of capsules and other orally dissolvable formulations absorbed via the gut, and in a clinical study the product was shown to increase the overall plasma exposure of total resveratrol (free resveratrol and its main metabolites) by 3.5 fold.
Scott Boyer, founder and scientific advisor at Nutrinovate AB, presented the results of this study at the recent 5th International Conference on Resveratrol and Health (held on October 18th-20th, 2018 in Xi’an, China). This conference is the leading annual knowledge sharing event for the global resveratrol community and Evolva is proud to have been a sponsor of the conference this year. Among the seventeen independent research groups who presented their findings during the three-day event, four are currently conducting trials using Veri-te™ resveratrol.
“We are very pleased that Reserol was recognized by these prestigious awards for the significant innovation their technology represents in the delivery of resveratrol to the body”, Evolva SVP of Health Ingredients & Marketing, Sally Aaron said, “Evolva is proud that our high-purity Veri-te™ resveratrol was the source chosen by Nutrinovate for this innovative product offering, and we look forward to continuing our successful collaboration in 2019.”
About Nutrinovate:Nutrinovate AB launched their first product, Reserol, in April 2016. In 2017 they launched their new ‘Vitamin Films’ range and have continued to grow this range in 2018. The product portfolio will initially focus on advanced food supplements and high-performance skincare products. www.reserol.com
