Galacid heat-stable 88 is a natural l (+) lactic acid produced by fermentation from sugar. It is colorless, heat stable and has a mild acid taste. It is widely used as an acidulant for preservation and flavor enhancement in various food applications. Solubility: soluble in water and ethanol. Chemical name: 2-hydroxypropanoic acid.
