Mannitol is used in the food industry as a sweetener, bulking agent and cutting agent. An additional field of application is in the pharmaceuticals sector. Mannitol is a sugar alcohol obtained through the hydrogenation of fructose from the inversion of sugar cane (sucrose). The substance is often used in the pharmaceutical industry as an excipient and meets the applicable quality requirements of the BP / USP (British Pharmacopoeia / United States Pharmacopeia). Mannitol is only about half as sweet as sugar, but it is not utilized by the body via insulin. This makes mannitol a product suitable for diabetics. It is used in energy-reduced desserts, ice cream, sweets and chewing gum. Another major field of application for mannitol is the pharmaceuticals industry. Packaging: 25 kg bags with inner PE liner.
