Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is the sodium salt of glutamic acid, an amino acid present in virtually all proteins. It is generally referred to as glutamate. It is also known for its own unique flavor, called “umami”. MSG is a white, virtually odorless, free-flowing crystalline powder. It can be used as a flavoring agent and if used in the correct quantity, MSG is able to enhance other strong or savory components affecting taste, and to balance and round off the overall taste sensation of certain dishes. Monosodium glutamate is suitable for use with meat, fish, poultry, many kinds of vegetable, sauces, soups and marinades. Packaging: 25 kg bags with PE liner. Applications: MSG has been used as a flavour enhancer for more than 1000 years. It has the remarkable property of being able to bring out and enhance the original flavour of many types of spicy food. It is therefore mainly used in the spice and meat industry, and in ready-made products.
