HELM AG markets a selected range of phosphates. Depending on their technological characteristics, they are used for different purposes. As acidity regulators, food-grade phosphates act as so-called buffers in order to stabilize the pH value. Diphosphates are characterized by a particularly strong complexing action and are therefore used primarily as binding agents, as melting salts or as raising agents. In many foods they also prevent the unwanted precipitation of sparingly soluble calcium compounds. Packaging: 25 kg bags with inner PE liner. Phosphates are available in the form of a colorless or white crystalline powder as well as crystals or granules. They are made from phosphoric acid. Applications: The food industry uses phosphates in many different fields in order to enhance the quality of ready-made products. Phosphates are most important for companies operating in the meat, poultry, seafood and baking goods industries, as well as in dairies (incl. the production of cheese spreads). Diphosphates in predetermined maximum limits are approved for use in certain foods, including meat products, cheese spreads and cheese spread products, desserts, ice cream as well as flours and baking mixtures.
