Arla offers a wide range of products which includes whey protein isolate. It is obtained by extracting fat and lactose from whey. It contains 90% or more protein, as little as 0.2% fat and just 0.2-0.5% lactose. It is used in applications with an acidic pH, WPI is clear in solution and stable at high temperature – an obvious advantage in clear, acidified drinks. Clinical nutrition: It s an excellent protein source with poor lactose tolerance to prevent muscle wasting. Infant nutrition: It is rich in essential amino acids but low in lactose, the predominant carbohydrate in milk. Sports nutrition: It promote muscle strength, muscle mass and recovery.
