Arla completes Falbygdens purchase

In October 2014, Atria and Arla Foods signed a preliminary agreement for the sale of Atria’s Falbygdens cheese business in Sweden. The Swedish Competition Authority has now announced its approval of the transaction.

The sale price is approximately €34 million, and operations will be consolidated into Arla Foods at the beginning of April.

Transferred to Arla will be the Falbygdens cheese business and its employees (around 100), the production plant in Falköping and the Falbygdens brand.
