Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate DC with Gum Arabic

Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate as DC granules with gum arabic are newly developed by Dr. Paul Lohmann®. They are designed for direct compression to tablets with neutral taste and a pleasant mouth feeling.

Besides maltodextrin, corn starch and PVP as binding agents, gum arabic is a perfect addition to the DC granules product line. In contrast to PVP, gum arabic is permitted worldwide as additive enabling global product launches of the finished product.

Both products are dust-free and free-flowing, and permitted for food, food supplements and can be used in pharmaceutical applications as excipients. Due to the high mineral content tablet size can be reduced. Dr. Paul Lohmann® performed tableting tests in the application lab in house and demonstrated differences in tablet height and hardness between well-known binders such as PVP, maltodextrin and corn starch. Depending on your desired dosage form and target size DC Granules by Dr. Paul Lohmann® could be your medium of choice.
