Company description

The Frikos cold store is located in the central part of western Serbia, in the region called Radjevina. It is located next to several mountain peaks of about a thousand meters, among hills suitable for growing fruit.

It was built in 2000 on a 6 ha plot of land. The capacity of the frozen goods warehouse is about 5,000 tons. The daily freezing capacity in the continuous tunnel is 80 t/24h and in the classic tunnels 140 t/24h.

70% of the fruit Frikos buys is grown within a radius of 50 km around the cold store and more than 80% is fresh. This enables us to select quality and freeze raw materials in a timely manner.

In order to better control the chemical protection of fruit, in 2016 we opened an agricultural pharmacy in Krupanj with the means recommended by our agronomists and plant protection engineers, and according to the regulations of the market to which the fruit is exported.

Frikos cooperates with several smaller cold stores that purchase fruit under the control of our agronomists and deliver the entire production to Frikos.

The company is owned by two families whose members actively participate in all parts of the business.
