“Sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy and the construction of this creative center gave us the opportunity to design the facility with a heightened focus on sustainable building practices,” said Andreas Fibig, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are very pleased with the outcome and value the recognition from the United States Green Building Council with its LEED Silver certification, which has global recognition and validates our commitment to sustainability. We now have the in-house experience and a new standard for future building development at IFF.”

In November 2014, IFF opened its new 1,500 m2 creative center in Jakarta that primarily supports customers in Indonesia, where IFF has had a presence for about 60 years. In keeping with IFF’s commitment to reduce its impact on the environment across geographies, the new building incorporates advanced sustainability principles. LEED certification is broad in scope and acknowledges a facility’s water and energy efficiency, use of materials and resources, innovation in design, and indoor air quality.
