Naturex launches NAT fruits&greens

raw-fruits-and-vegetablesNaturex has unveiled its NAT fruits&greens range which it says responds to two major nutraceutical category concerns.

The first of these is boosting fruit and vegetable consumption. Since childhood, says the company, we’ve been told that five to ten daily servings of fruits and vegetables are essential for health. Despite this common knowledge, Naturex notes that 75 to 80% of American consumers are still struggling to eat these recommended amounts. Powdered fruits and vegetables incorporated into supplements enable industries to improve the nutritional value of their formulas and increase fruit and vegetable intake. Naturex says that its  new fruits&greens range answers nutraceutical category demand for fruit and vegetable powders and helps provide equivalent servings of these key foods.

The second concern that the company says the announcement addresses is the need to comply with market demand for transparency.

Naturex says its new range is designed for manufacturers who are looking to enhance their formulas with natural plant-based content, and points out that NAT fruits& greens complies with current nutraceutical market requirements for safety and traceability.  In response to the public’s demand for transparency, Naturex says it has implemented a rigorous traceability system, with systematic identification of raw materials and a complete identification sheet for each botanical extract.
The NAT fruits&greens range includes two collections: TasteRich, that is said to provide 100% natural powders to improve colour, taste and flavour in formulas, and NutriRich, which Naturex says guarantees standardised content in nutrients and phyto-nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, fibres, and polyphenols. Each botanical extract is, says the company, carefully selected for its high nutrient content.

In line with Naturex’s Bright 2020 Strategic Plan, the company says that this new product line illustrates its ambition to be the world leader in the specialty fruit and vegetable category and to help its customers switch from synthetic to natural.
