Nutress hires Harke for DACH distribution

Nutress has announced a new partnership with marketer and distributor Harke Pharma, to deliver its algae products across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The agreement involves the distribution of the Nutress ortfolio, and will, said the company, stabilise and strengthen Nutress’ channel for 2015 with a dedicated European algae distributor.
The agreement is Nutress’ first direct distribution agreement in the DACH countries and, it says, forms part of the company’s strategy to focus on innovation and investment in its partner ecosystem. The new partnership follows Nutress’ recent cultivation expansion and builds on Nutress’ international growth strategy. It will, according to the company. greatly benefit Nutress’ German language partners, resellers and customers – including greater efficiencies with back-end logistics, partner training and enablement – all being key components of the arrangement. According to Reinier Smit, CEO of Nutress, the company has partnered with Harke Pharma because of its experience as a pharmaceutical and nutraceutical distributor, as well as its success and major growth in the last five years.
“Nutress is very excited to be working directly with Harke Pharma as the company has a strong track record in supplying innovative nutritional products,” said Smit. “Harke Pharma has specific, in-depth knowledge of the local nutraceutical landscape and will be positioning Nutress highly, investing in a dedicated Nutress sales and development team.”
Harke Pharma will distribute the complete range of Nutress algae (products) including Chlorella vulgaris algae,Chlorella sorokiniana and in the future extractions thereof. The algae products of Nutress are said to be an ideal complement to the existing product range. The various algae qualities perfectly fit to the consisting business areas, food supplements, food- and beverage industry.
Dr. Jörg Brunemann, CEO of Harke Pharma, believes the DACH countries nutraceutical channel will benefit from this agreement, enabling access to Nutress’ leading algae (products) with the support of Harke’s channel services.

The distribution agreement will take effect on April 1st 2015.
