Probiotic - Bifidobacterium longum subsp longum OLP-01

Bifidobacterium longum subsp. longum OLP-01 is a human-origin probiotic strain isolated from the gut microbiota of an Olympic gold-medalist long-distance runner. Developed by Glac Biotech in collaboration with National Taiwan Sport University, OLP-01 is designed specifically to support endurance, recovery, and gut health. Clinical trials have demonstrated that OLP-01 significantly enhances VO₂max and running distance, making it an ideal supplement for endurance athletes and active individuals.
OLP-01 operates through the gut–endurance axis by modulating the microbiota, promoting beneficial strains like Bifidobacterium and Prevotella, and suppressing potentially harmful bacteria such as Escherichia-Shigella. These changes lead to improved nutrient absorption, better energy metabolism, and reduced exercise-induced inflammation and fatigue. In human studies, participants taking OLP-01 experienced greater aerobic capacity and better performance even after detraining periods.
