β-Alanine by Yuki Gosei Kogyo Co., Ltd

Product description

β-Alanine activates SIRTUIN and Mitochondria:
Our purpose is finding the new function of β Alanine that is not associated with dipeptide (carnosine). The theme of our research is ‘ longevity and anti-aging’, using animal or human cells to evaluate the biological effect. We found that β-alanine activates mitochondria which has the important role of being an energy source. We also found that beta-alanine activates SIRTUIN ( Sirt 1, Sirt 3 and Sirt 6 gene), which are so-called longevity genes. We have already applied for two patents.

SIRTUIN and mitochondrial functions are heavily involved in lifestyle diseases such as heart disease, stroke, obesity, type 2 diabetes, etc..

β-Alanine as an imidazole dipeptide precursor
βalanine is an amino acid that widely exists in nature, especially in animal muscles and brains. β-alanine is mostly present in biomolecules such as imidazole dipeptides. When βalanine is ingested orally, it combines L-histidine bycarnosine synthase in the body and is converted into imidazole dipeptides such as carnosine and anserine respectively, which has many health benefits.
