The purpose-built manufacturing facility will be located in Bielany, Wroclaw, Poland, benefiting from excellent transport links. It will feature a blending plant, R&D facility, customer presentation suite, and warehousing, mirroring the standards and capabilities of Bowman Ingredients’ UK site.

Bowman Ingredients CEO Rory Bowman said: “Our new European manufacturing plant will further strengthen our global supply chain, support our customer portfolio and enable us to access new markets. The new production facility will enhance local response times and add extra capacity and contingency to ensure we continue to meet increasing demand from Europe.”

The senior team has already been recruited and trained in the UK. The new manufacturing facility is due to be operational from the end of April 2020, ready to service both new and existing customers.

As well as its company headquarters and main manufacturing base in the UK, Bowman Ingredients has an £8 million UK site dedicated to dairy, egg and gluten-free production. The company also has manufacturing sites in South Africa, Thailand and Australia, and supplies food manufacturers in 20 countries worldwide with a portfolio of food coatings. These include gluten-free crumb and free from coatings, breadcrumbs, batter mixes, pre-dusts and dry-mix marinades for convenience foods such as chicken, fish and vegetable products.
