Campden announces food labelling seminar

FoodLabel2The biggest single EU change in food and drink labelling – mandatory nutrition labelling – comes into effect on 13 December 2016. With 12 months to go to the deadline, Campden BRI’s annual Food Labelling seminar will provide delegates with essential information necessary to plan and effectively implement labelling changes, as well as reviewing nutrition labelling issues that are still in the pipeline.

In addition, delegates will hear about the current status within the EU and UK concerning other elements of labelling. Key areas to be addressed include:

 Nutrition labelling – mandatory “back of pack”, voluntary “front of pack”, traffic lighting, nutrition profiling, reference intakes for children, predetermined portion sizes.

 Country of origin labelling – what is mandatory and what is voluntary?

 Allergen labelling – has the FIC stopped product recalls due to allergen issues?

 Quantity indication – how the FIC has affected weights and measures labelling.
