Product description
Carrageenan is a natural polysaccharide found in certain kinds of red algae. Carrageenan is able to form viscous colloid solutions or gels in viscous and/or dairy environments. According to the carrageenan type, it acts as gelling agent, moisture retainer, thickener, stabilizer and suspension agent. It provides texture, cohesiveness, and consistency to the final product. It makes cutting easier and reduces syneresis. Applications: dairy products, water-based products, meat products, processed food and patisserie and bakery. It is also ideal to use in non-food industry.
