Chia Oil
Chia oil is produced through a cold-pressing process according to ISO
22000 (HACCP), in practice guaranteeing 100% pure and natural oil. The
temperature is maintained low at all times and no solvents or chemical thinners
are used in the process.
After preparing the
chia seeds, a slow and careful pressing process begins. Following pressing, the
oil goes through a filtration process, removing any remaining impurities from
the product. After filtration, the oil is then generally packaged into food
grade specially coated metal drums of 190kg, nitrogen filled, and then stored
at a maximum of 15°C in a warehouse. Natural tocopherols also help to ensure
oil stability over time.
