Learn how Wellnex Di-peptide leverages the power of Prolyl-Hydroxyproline (PO) and Hydroxyprolyl-Glycine (OG) to create a uniquely effective collagen peptide ingredients.

A dipeptide is made up of two amino acids, which is smallest unit within collagen peptides. Prolyl-Hydroxyproline (PO) and Hydroxyprolyl-Glycine (OG) are two collagen-derived dipeptides, whose safety and efficacy are substantiated by two decades of research. PO and OG play important roles in cellular metabolism, associated with improvements in skin and joint health. PO and OG are strongly bound peptides and stable under extreme conditions (low pH, high temperature). This unique stability allows them to be readily transferred into bloodstream through the intestinal tract, while maintaining their structure and properties.
Wellnex Collagen Di-peptide is a specialised collagen peptide ingredient, containing high levels of functional dipeptides, PO and OG. In comparison with standard collagen peptide ingredients, Wellnex Di-peptide contains more than 30 times concentrated levels of PO and OG. Using a proprietary technique, the key components - PO and OG - are extracted from high molecular weight collagen protein during the production process. Wellnex Di-peptide is currently the only collagen ingredient available with concentrated levels of bioactive dipeptides PO and OG when compared to a standard collagen peptide. Wellnex Di-peptide offers functional benefits in skin health, especially for moisturising and elasticity improvement at low dosages (2.5g /day) within four weeks. It also delivers functionalities in terms of prevention of melanin synthesis, which is related to skin spots. This property has been demonstrated by in vitro testing.
The ingredient has also been shown to help support joint health at the same low dosages as for skin health applications. In addition, Wellnex Di-peptide has been attracting attention as an ingredient to improve dermal integrity for those with pressure ulcers.
Consumers in Asia and elsewhere are constantly on the lookout for innovative products that deliver health benefits and enhance wellness. Meanwhile, these markets have been flooded with many collagen peptide ingredients, creating challenges for brand owners seeking high efficacy collagen ingredients for their products.
In this competitive environment, finished products leveraging branded, clinically substantiated ingredients with established mechanisms of action will secure their place in the market while gaining the loyalty of their customers.
