HTBA to spotlight new science on its leading bioactive vitamin B12 ingredient at Vitafoods Europe 2025

24 Apr 2025

Join HTBA at stand 3M61 in Barcelona from 20-22 May to uncover the company’s latest science and insights driving innovation in the nutraceuticals market.

Barcelona, Spain – 23 April 2025 – HealthTech BioActives (HTBA), the leading innovator in citrus flavonoids and active forms of vitamin B12 for health and nutrition, is proud to return to Vitafoods Europe this May to showcase exciting new scientific research demonstrating the benefits of its methylcobalamin solution for cognitive and physical performance.

As the only company in Europe capable of producing all active forms of vitamin B12 in their natural form, HTBA has pioneered MecobalActive®, a bioidentical ingredient with the industry’s highest methylcobalamin content. This advanced active (ready to work in the body) form of vitamin B12 form also offers superior purity and bioavailability to support multiple benefits from cognitive health and energy to mental alertness and concentration.

Attendees can look forward to HTBA’s presentation featuring MecobalActive® on 21 May from 11.30am to 11.55am at New Ingredients Theater (3G266). Dr Teresa Pellicer, Biotechnology Manager at HTBA, will explain the key role vitamin B12 can play in maintaining overall wellness, and unveil for the first time new science demonstrating the benefits of MecobalActive®. The presentation will also explore how brands can stand out in the food supplement arena by choosing the most effective forms of vitamin B12

In addition, the HTBA team will highlight DiosVein®, the industry’s only diosmin ingredient powered by patented solvent-free green chemistry manufacturing. Derived from sweet oranges, DiosVein® delivers science-backed health benefits for leg health–especially in women–by supporting blood circulation and decreasing vascular discomfort. HTBA will also feature Cardiose®, its 100% natural sweet orange polyphenol extract obtained through a proprietary extraction process to support active performance and cardiovascular health.

“We’re excited to welcome attendees at Vitafoods Europe 2025 to Barcelona, HTBA’s home city, as this major global nutraceutical event comes to Spain for the first time,” adds Tom D'Hoore, Chief Commercial Officer of HTBA. “We look forward to connecting with industry leaders and professionals to explore how we can work together to advance industry innovation to deliver on-trend consumer health benefits in many areas ranging from cardiovascular health to cognitive and physical performance.”
