in 2010, PT. Indo Seaweed is a seaweed processing company producing high
quality and food grade carrageenan derived from the red seaweed called Eucheuma cottonii and Eucheuma spinosum. It is located in
Ngoro Industrial Estate, in the town of Mojokerto, about 50 km-drive from the
city of Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. With an annual production capacity of
2,000 MT, PT. Indo Seaweed is committed to creating highly innovative and high
value-added solutions for the food industry.
PT. Indo Seaweed provides a
“one stop carrageenan solution to the food industry” and offers a wide array of
high quality carrageenan products with special and unique functionalities for
all your food texture requirements. Sold under the U-Gum™ brand, all products meet the specifications for human food
consumption set by the US FDA, JECFA and the EU.
