businessman-holding-golden-globe-investment-composite-image-text-49116574Sensient Food Colors Europe has invested in a new filling line at its Italian facility in Corte Tegge. The new line consists of a steriliser together with a dedicated aseptic ‘Bag-in-Bucket’ (BiBu) filling unit for preservative-free colouring foods and food colours.

According to Sensient, BiBu will also offer several other key customer advantages versus the previous system that used bags in outer protective cardboard containers. Easier to handle, robust plastic buckets now replace the former containers which also avoid the presence of any cardboard in production areas thus minimising microbiological risks. The ability for customers to receive the exact quantities required for their own batch production will improve product safety as well as significantly reduce additional weighing and handling costs, Sensient says.

“This new filling line is an important addition to how we further support our customers,” said Imerio Bortot, General Manager of Sensient Food Colors Italy. “It enhances ease and safety in product use and controls costs through producing standardised units.”
