Streptococcus thermophilus belongs to the kingdom of bacteria, Firmicutes, Bacillus, Lactobacilli, Streptococcus and Streptococcus. It comes from a wide range of sources and is found in nature, as well as in dairy products, and is an essential ingredient for making yogurt and certain cheeses (such as Swiss and Limburg).
Streptococcus thermophilus produces beta-galactosidase (lactase), which helps lactose intolerant people digest lactose. For people who are lactose intolerant, consuming dairy products such as yogurt containing Streptococcus thermophilus can alleviate lactose intolerance symptoms.
