Univar, Bunge sign lecithin distribution agreement.

Under the agreement, Univar will distribute Bunge LSI’s BungeMaxx lecithin across Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Univar Netherlands, a chemical and ingredient distributor and provider of value-added services across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), has entered into a distribution agreement with Bunge Lecithin & Specialty Ingredients (LSI). Under the agreement, Univar will distribute LSI’s BungeMaxx lecithin across Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

“Adding Bunge’s lecithin line to our portfolio enables us to be a more holistic solutions provider to our food customers,” said Paul Harvey, EMEA commercial manager for Univar Food Ingredients. “Combined with its technical expertise and supply network, Univar can better deliver its quality promise to the market and provide attractive new growth for Bunge.”

The BungeMaxx ingredient range consists of lecithin from soya, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. BungeMaxx is said to be suitable for a range of applications including confectionery, bakery, oil, fats and more.
