About us

EXINNOV produces a wide range of organic and conventional plant extracts for the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, feed, and cosmetic fields. Certified ISO 22000, COSMOS, ECOCERT, Feed, Halal and Kosher, we offer water and/or alcohol extraction, using bio-based solvent only.

Located in the South-West of France (near Bordeaux), EXINNOV's strength rests on its patented hydrothermal extraction process, which uses water in limited quantity to deeply seep into plants and extract active substances. EXINNOV has also developed processes for the purification of natural molecules using bio-based solvents (ethanol, 2-methyloxolane). We have a complete equipment from extraction to drying and analysis of active ingredients.

Innovation, traceability, and quality, EXINNOV controls its products and guarantees the active compounds content of its extracts. We also provide ingredients of French or European origin. For example, we are the only ones to produce organic activated charcoal, using chestnut/oak wood from PEFC-certified eco-managed French forests.

EXINNOV offers tailor-made extraction and custom manufacturing, a complete development of active ingredients from plant sourcing to the extraction and purification process, thanks to pilot and production tools that can work with water or bio-sourced solvents. We can develop batches from 200 kg up to several tons of extract.

Vine extract - Resveratrol & Oligostilbenes

EXINNOV has developed a unique extract of vine biomass – leaf and stem – produced in Bordeaux, home to world famous vineyards. Our 100% natural ingredient has a unique profile with over 5% Resveratrol and total Oligostilbenes. Resveratrol is acclaimed for its powerful antioxidant (anti-aging) and anti-inflammatory properties. These actions are stronger due to the combined activity of all stilbenes.

Resveratrol is widely used in cosmetic formulations for skincare, as it is one of the most powerful antioxidants on the market. This molecule has been the subject of extensive research and has become well known for its benefits in treating various health conditions: [1]

Resveratrol is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, both for humans AND for animals. Our extract is also FEED-certified. Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties are key to its effectiveness in preventing various conditions. The literature review shows real interest in its potential for preventing cardiovascular, ocular, hepatic, and renal diseases, as well as limiting the development of cancers and secondary lesions associated with diabetes and obesity. Resveratrol also has a role to play in some reproductive disorders. [1] [2]

Organic Activated Charcoal (PURECOAL®)

EXINNOV is the only one to offer ORGANIC activated charcoal! This ingredient is produced locally and ecologically, using chestnut/oak wood from ORGANIC and PEFC certified eco-managed French forests. We offer a lightly granulated powder, ideally suited to encapsulators and tablet makers for food supplements or pharmaceuticals, and a fine powder, used mostly for cosmetic applications or formulations requiring powder rehydration.

 
Maritime Pine extract (FLAVINOV®) and Organic Activated Charcoal (PURECOAL®)

EXINNOV has built up solid expertise in tree bark extraction. For example, our Maritime Pine extract (FLAVINOV®) and our organic Activated Charcoal (PURECOAL®) are among our best-sellers. Highly concentrated in active molecules, both ingredients come from sustainably managed French forests. Our Maritime Pine extract is strongly purified in condensed tannins (% procyanidin equivalent B2).
