Anti Oxidant Power (AOP) is a French biotech created in 2017. We develop customized in vitro cell-based tests to demonstrate the efficacy of natural extracts, ingredients or finished products.
AOP in vitro cell-based patented technologies allow a quantitative evaluation of antioxidant activity at the cellular level. A living cell in culture provides a complex environment in which several antioxidant mechanisms are involved (the cell-free chemical antioxidant assay ORAC database was removed from online in 2012 by the USDA because it had no relevance with beneficial effects on human health). A combination of 4 cellular tests - each test targets a specific antioxidant mechanism - allows the assessment of intracellular mechanism of action of your products. An overall cell antioxidant score can be calculated.
AOP cell efficacy tests are available on multiple cell models (brain, liver, gut, skin, etc.). These pre-clinical tests can be adopted to support claims, scientific publications or marketing independently or before clinical studies.
