About us
Anti Oxidant Power (AOP) is a French biotech created in 2017. We develop customized in vitro cell-based tests to demonstrate the efficacy of natural extracts, ingredients or finished products.
Our cell-based technologies allow antioxidant evaluation in vitro at the cellular level. A living cell in culture provides a complex environment (the cell-free chemical antioxidant assay ORAC database was removed from online in 2012 by the USDA because it had no relevance with effects on human health). A compound exerting antioxidant activity should have other biological functions, such as high bioavailability or anti-inflammatory properties, that cell-free antioxidant assays do not consider. AOP cell-based tests allow for evaluation of the complete cellular mechanism of antioxidant action as well as other biological functions such as intestinal absorption, intestinal barrier protective effect, immunomodulatory action.
AOP cell efficacy tests are available on multiple cell models (brain, liver, gut, skin, etc.).
They can be exploited for food or feed applications.
They are compatible for high throughput screening.
Two of the AOP antioxidant cell efficacy tests are based on patented and owned technologies.
They can be deployed as services (CRO) or co-development partnership.
They can be adopted to support scientific claims or publications independently or before clinical studies.
