About us

The Malagasy Organic Agriculture Union SYMABIO was created in March 2011 at the initiative of operators aware of the challenges posed by the sector on an economic, social and environmental level and of the need to structure themselves into a group to raise awareness among public opinion and the authorities in the promotion of organic agriculture.

The union has about thirty members who are active in the organic sector and have certificates of conformity for their organic products. The network has 5,000 producer partners in rural areas located in different regions of Madagascar. Harvesting operations also constitute a source of income for countless villagers in the areas listed as organic.
