IMPORTACO NUTS: SPECIALIST NUT SOLUTIONS FOR THE FOOD INDUSTRY AND INTERNATIONAL RETAILImportaco Nuts is the specialist nut business of Importaco, a food group founded in 1940. With over 80 years of experience, we develop and manufacture reliable solutions for the food industry and international retail. Our model covers sourcing and origin management, processing, packaging, and distribution. We operate 13 production centres in Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, supported by specialist teams. This enables us to manage high-volume projects while remaining close to our customers.

FOOD INDUSTRY: INGREDIENTS DESIGNED AROUND THE APPLICATION
We work with large European manufacturers in the ice cream, chocolate and confectionery, industrial bakery and pastry, breakfast cereals, dairy products, and snacks sectors, and we support international projects. Through Itac Professional, our B2B brand for this market, we combine Importaco Nuts’ industrial capabilities with a practical, application-led approach. We focus on how each nut performs in the customer’s process and final product, considering origin, variety, flavour, colour, texture, particle size, roasting profile, and viscosity. Peanuts, almonds, pistachios, and cashews are strategic products in our industrial portfolio. Depending on the project, formats may include natural, peeled, blanched, roasted, and diced nuts, as well as flours and pastes. They can be used as inclusions, toppings, fillings, coatings, bases, and texture-building ingredients. Our innovation and technical teams work with customers’ R&D, purchasing, and quality departments from specifications and trials through to industrial validation and launch. This approach combines quality, innovation, and production expertise.


Quality and food safety are managed across the value chain under the Importaco Nuts 360° Quality Model, aligned with the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety and IFS. Supplier assessment, origin controls, raw-material monitoring, process control, laboratory capabilities, and audits support consistency and continuous improvement.Specialised operations, long-term supplier relationships, and origin knowledge strengthen traceability and supply resilience. Our production network supports high-volume manufacturers with flexibility across specifications, formats, and delivery models.
