Company description
Alavuden Öljinpuristamo Oy is a company founded by local farmers. The first rapeseed was pressed in the winter of 1997 from rapeseed grown on the Pihlaja farm in the center of Alavus, in the premises of an old cooperative dairy, where we operated for over 20 years.
Over time, however, the old dairy facilities that had served us well began to become challenging, and we set out to find the courage to design production facilities that looked like us and were tailored to us.
The latest page in our history turned in November 2021, when we moved to our own production facilities between Alavuti and Tuuri, returning to our “roots” on the lands of the Pihlaja farm. The same lands where the first rapeseed we pressed grew.
Our products taste like nature.
