Altıparmak Gıda, with its Balparmak, Binbirçiçek, and Balkovan brands, is a leader in the national honey market and one of the top four honey packaging companies in the international market. The company employs over 300 people and owns APILAB - Altıparmak Food Analysis Laboratory, one of the four most comprehensive honey analysis laboratories in Europe.
All products under its brands are packaged with complete safety and high quality standards in Altıparmak Gıda's modern, high-tech facility located on a 28,000 m² site. The company's facility in Çekmeköy district of Istanbul has a packaging capacity of 32,000 tons/year, making it the largest facility of its kind in Turkey.
As Turkey's largest honey exporter, Altıparmak Gıda has been exporting honey to Europe, primarily Germany and the Netherlands, to many Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Dubai, as well as to the USA and Azerbaijan since 1994. In 2012, Altıparmak Gıda made a significant leap in exports, beginning to export honey to the People's Republic of China, the world's largest honey exporter.
Altıparmak Gıda, which has received numerous national and international awards, is a member of the Honey International Packers Association (HIPA), the Food Safety Association (GGD), the Private Label Association (PLAT), and the International Honey Exporters Organization (IHEO), and a founding member of the Healthy Living Platform Association with Bee Products in Turkey (BALDER).
