Amaranth / aluminum lakes

It consists essentially of trisodium 2-hydroxy-1-(4-sulfonato-1-naphthylazo) naphthalene-3,6-disulfonate and subsidiary colouring matterstogether with sodium chloride and/or sodium sulfate as the principal uncoloured components. It is described as the sodium salt. It is a free -flowing blendable powder, free from lumps or visible impurities. It is a Kosher & halal certified.
