The identification of microorganisms is a fundamental part of microbiology, notes Campden BRI. Today, the company says, it is possible to go beyond the traditional ‘genus’ and ‘species’ naming of isolates to differentiate between ‘strains’ of the same species.

Campden BRI has announced that it will explore different approaches to separating microorganisms from each other to facilitate microbiological investigations into food contamination at a bacterial identification and typing seminar on 1 March 2018.

Attendees will, it says, learn about the background to the systems; have the opportunity speak to the experts and discuss the options available; be able to network with attendees from industry and manufacturers; and hear about the experience from a food manufacturer’s point of view

This seminar will, Campden BRI believes, be of interest to microbiologists, technologists and manufacturers from the food and drink industry.
