Bordas develops and manufactures high-performance natural solutions based on citrus flavonoids, designed to enhance nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and functional formulations with superior quality, scientific rigor, and technological innovation. Founded in Seville in 1922, our expertise has evolved to encompass the extraction, purification, and optimization of active compounds, fully complying with strict international standards such as the European Pharmacopoeia, USP, and BP, ensuring traceability, excellence, and reliability across all processes.
We are leaders in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) such as diosmin, derived from orange hesperidin, known for its antioxidant, venotonic, anti-inflammatory, and antithrombotic properties. Diosmin is used to support microcirculation, capillary fragility, and the relief of symptoms such as heavy legs or hemorrhoids. This expertise is complemented by micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF), a precise combination of hesperidin and diosmin with enhanced bioavailability.
Our portfolio also includes Neohesperidin DC, an intensive sweetener up to 1,800 times sweeter than sucrose, stable and effective in masking bitter flavors; CBC (Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex), a natural extract from Seville bitter oranges, rich in flavonoids and phenolic glycosides, suitable for cardiovascular health, antioxidant applications, cosmetics, and functional supplements; and Naringin, a flavonoid with beneficial effects on lipid profiles and insulin activity.
Our industrial platform combines strict quality control, GMP, CEP/EDQM, and USP certifications, and advanced process engineering, covering the entire value chain from extraction to global distribution. In addition, Bordas is a pioneer in the distillation of essential oils and citrus derivatives, adding value to sectors such as fragrances, flavors, nutraceuticals, and food products.
