Product description

Known for its spicy flavour, galangal is a root closely related to ginger and turmeric. Several plants fall under the term galangal. In our products, we use the real galangal, “alpinia officinarum”, which originates from East Asia. It features in many Asian dishes and is a less well-known ingredient in many spice mixes in Europe. Essential oils and other valuable ingredients have an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulate digestion – and this is why galangal is also found in herbal remedies. Our galangal is cultivated organically on the Indonesian island of Java. We provide real galangal in the form of flakes or slices. If required, we can also apply germ reduction.
