IPD
- the initiative for import promotion in Germany - opens up new attractive suppy
sources in selected developing and emerging countries for European importers
and arranges direct contact with carefully evaluated producers.
IPD enables small and medium-sized companies in partner countries to
gain access to the European market and supports them in establishing
sustainable trade relations. The aim is to integrate the
partner countries into global trade and thus contribute to sustainable economic
development in these countries.
At FiE IPD presents producers
who have been visited and carefully evaluated by IPD.
We take into account criteria such as product quality, exportability and
capacity as well as the fulfilment of international standards and
certifications. Currently, IPD arranges contacts
with exporters from the following partner countries: Egypt, Ethiopia, Ecuador,
Ivory Coast, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, Colombia, Madagascar, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, Sri Lanka,
Tunisia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
IPD is funded by the Federal
Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
