Astaxanthin is an antioxidant from the algae Haematococcus Pluvialis. Antioxidants protect the body from free radicals that can be harmful to the body. Free radicals are formed naturally in the body, but their occurrence can be higher due to negative lifestyle factors such as pollution, UV rays from the sun, stress and smoking. Noromega Astaxanthin is supplemented with vitamin C and vitamin E. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamin E protects cells from oxidative stress.
